5. Curation & Creation Introduction
Welcome to the Curation and Creation Module! This module focuses on how the creation of content transfers from the teacher, who has typically developed lectures and presentations for delivery, to the student, who can now be tasked with development of projects to show content mastery, and who now becomes the presenter of information. The teacher now becomes the facilitator to help guide the student in their students' research and production.

Overview
Media curation is an emerging trend toward integrating media content using both machine and human resources. The practice includes aggregation (gathering) and curation (sorting, categorizing, art directing, and presenting) such that material from multiple sources creates a unique editorial experience for readers/visitors.”

Objectives
Upon completion of this module, participants will:
- Understand how educators, by becoming facilitators and having their students become content creators, can increase student learning for real life situations to authentic audiences.
- Become familiar with the uses and strategies of media in the classroom
- Explore and curate open educational resources (OER) and creation tools
- Create and implement a lesson and student sample of video using either an OER or student-created video.
